Dear Friends and Family,
Monday I traveled to Butare and opened the English Bible Institute for Berea Baptist Church. I taught the students a summary of the Bible chronologically from Genesis to Revelation.
Tuesday I had a very draining time of encouraging and challenging God’s servants. I traveled back to Kigali through one of our targeted towns, Gitarama. Time did not allow me to visit the other two I had planned to see. Another day another time.
Wednesday I met with believers in the Bible study in Kigali. The Holy Spirit worked in a special way. Again I had my outline and notes but had to put them away as the Spirit was leading in a different way. I preached on witnessing in light of the second coming of Jesus Christ plus. I was able to illustrate by walking out of the house and witness to neighbors while the believers were watching. The houses are very close. By the time I finished people were asking for the picture tracts to witness to their neighbors. One would ask for two and another would ask for seven and it went on like that until I was out of tracts. I had taken 1000 Kinyarwandan tracts with me but know they were all planted.
Pastor Sadock and a few believers then took me to our land site for the new church. It has good frontage on a road that will be blacktopped this year and will be a main road the buses will operate on. It is in the middle of a growing area. We have enough room for the church building. As soon as the paperwork comes through Sadock will start building. The neighbor has offered an adjoining plot for $3500 which would be perfect for a dormitory and kitchen for the BI and conferences.
It is 4 am Thursday morning and I leave in just a few minutes for Uganda. Pray for us as we have a long drive and have to cross the border which can be a challenging time. I am thankful for each one of you and the encouragement you are to me in the Lord’s work.
